About

I research strategic value-focused decision-making for sustainability transformation.
More specifically I examine value-focused thinking, open policy practice and sustainable circular economy.

I have studied climate and social philosophy extencively. This understanding has driven me to seek answers how to transform our societal structures into sustainable ones. As business student I am interested to analyse how current economic system could be transformed to align economic, environmental and social values. As humanity faces the wicked problem of climate crisis I do not expect easy solutions.

Research Center

I am part of multidisciplinary research center. Researchers are a group of UEF researchers and professors from Business School, Law School, and Geographical and Historical Studies.

Sustainable Innovation Lab

My everyday work is conducted in the research group Sustainable Innovation Lab (SUNLAB). Group examines ways to advance sustainability transition through innovation. We study practices, processes, and people involved in sustainable innovations.

Currently working on

I am working on my first research article based on my master's thesis. It is a case study where four municipalities and their climate actions were examined. It opened up potentiality for digital decision-making tool.

I am also currently designing the next two papers. Plan is to examine municipal climate work from the perspective of multi-stakeholder values and to create future scenarios. Data is gathered through interviews with municipal stakeholders. If you are interested to participate in the research feel free to contact me!

Webinar

In this webinar hosted by International Project Management Association (IPMA) I present my master's thesis and the results of it. We examined potential of a digital decision-making tool at municipal level. Results indicate transparent decision-making and understanding of which values are fulfilled with climate actions.
